HSBC Canada Mastercard

When it comes to securing a credit card, some are better than others are.  For instance, for people in Canada, the HSBC Canada MasterCard is considered an excellent choice.  For one thing, HSBC is a leading financial institution that offers a variety of card types so regardless of your need, chances are a MasterCard from this issuer would be available.

In addition to having the backing of both HSBC and MasterCard, this particular credit card comes with some exceptional features.  For one thing, the company that issues the HSBC Canada MasterCard is officially called HSBC Holdings plc, which currently has more than 180 branches throughout the country.  One interesting piece of information that most people are unaware of is that the acronym, HSBC, stands for The Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation, which has long proven its dedication to excellent service and products.

For one thing, the HSBC Canada MasterCard has no annual fee but if cash advances were taken out or balance transfers completed, the Annual Percentage Rate or APR would be set at 19.9%.  Then for payments, after the actual due date, you would be provided with a 21-day grace period.  Although you want to do everything possible to get your payments in prior to the due day, if you were late, you would not pay consequences of high interest, late fees, and most importantly, having your credit affected.

One interesting thing about the HSBC Canada MasterCard is that if you wanted to secure a lower interest rate, you could.  In fact, this issuer would lower the rate to 12.9% in exchange for a $25 annual fee.  Additionally, if you were to choose this option, the grace period would increase from 21 to 23 days.  Regardless, if you were to spend more than the limit set on the credit card, you would be charged $29 for each purchase made.

Along with the features for the HSBC Canada MasterCard, a number of benefits could be enjoyed.  As mentioned, both HSBC and MasterCard have worldwide reputations, meaning this specific Canadian credit card would be accepted at more than 23 million outlets around the world.  Another benefit is that if cash were needed, you would have access to nearly one million.  This credit card also comes with extended warranty insurance, cash replacement, and/or instant cash in case of emergency, and 24-hour roadside assistance if you were to experience a breakdown.

However, knowing this HSBC Canada MasterCard is a rewards card makes it even better.  For this, you have one of two options from which to choose.  The first, you could go with the HSBC Cash Back Rewards credit card, which is established as a cash back rebate card.  In this case, whenever you make a purchase with the card, you would earn cash back rewards.  The second option is the HSBC Travel & Merchandise Reward Program card, which allows you to redeem points to purchase lifestyle rewards, high-end merchandise, or even airline travel.  While these two cards are unique, they are both excellent examples of the HSBC Canada MasterCard.
