If you travel, whether for business or pleasure, why not get more out of the trip by using a Southwest Visa credit card. In other words, for the money you spend on airline travel, rental car service, hotel accommodations, and more, you might as well use a credit card that is going to save you money and even provide you with rewards. Of course, with this being a Visa, you have confidence that the card is high caliber and that it would be accepted around the world by any merchant that accepts Visa.
In addition to the Southwest Visa credit card being beneficial as far as savings, this card also provides more protection and purchasing power than you would get from many other comparable credit cards. While you could choose a basic card, keep in mind that the Southwest Visa credit card is actually available in several different card types, which are addressed below for your convenience.
• Platinum Rewards Visa – Probably one of the more popular types of Southwest Visa credit card is the rewards card. The way in which this card is set up is that for each $1 purchase made using the card, you would be given one reward point. As the points accumulate, you can redeem them to purchase gift cards for loved ones, save money on airline tickets, eat in hundreds of restaurants, and so on. This card also has “zero liability protection”, which means if it were ever lost or stolen, if any purchases were made using the card after notifying the bank, you would not be responsible.
• Classic Rewards Visa – You might also consider this Southwest Visa credit card, which also allows you to earn one point for each $1 spent, after which time the points could be redeemed as wanted. You would also benefit from “zero liability protection”, which provides peace of mind.
• Platinum Visa – The great thing about this Southwest Visa credit card is that for balance transfers or cash advances, the introductory period offers a low APR. With this card, as long as three or fewer purchases are made using the card within any given year, the annual fee would be waived. However, if you were to make more than three purchases, the annual fee is low. Additionally, if using this card for a balance transfer, no fees apply.
• Classic Visa – This Southwest Visa credit card is setup very much like the Platinum Visa card with the only real difference being the Classic Visa has a lower credit limit than the platinum version.
• Student Visa – Without doubt, the student Southwest Visa credit card is of tremendous value. For students in college, this particular card provides them with a means of financial assistance but without paying an annual fee, again if no more than three purchases are made with this card. The card also has a low APR and no fees apply if the card is used for balance transfers.
