•    Halifax All in One Credit Card – This student credit card in the UK has a 0% Annual Percentage Rate during a 10-month introductory period for all purchases made.  After the initial introduction period, the APR becomes 15.9%.

•    Natwest Student Credit Card – For this, hardworking students can enjoy their own credit card with available credit up to £500.  In addition, the first 56 days as a cardholder, students would have no interest on purchases made.  The regular Annual Percentage Rate for this card is at 18.9% and the card comes with a variety of special features designed specifically for young people in college.

•    Capital One Classic Credit Card – Capital One is a global provider of credit cards for all types of people and needs but without doubt, this issuing company is considered one of the best when it comes to credit cards for students.  With this UK credit card, students can get instant approval when completing an application online and if approved, a credit limit up to £2,500.  The only downfall is that the regular Annual Percentage Rate is high at 34.9%.

•    Capital One Progress Credit Card – Another UK student credit card offered by Capital One is organized in a way that the initial APR of 34.9% can be lowered over a 17-month period to 19.9% for all balance transfers.  As with the other Capital One card, instant approval is available for students applying online.

•    RBS Student Credit Card – For this UK credit card, a credit limit up to £500 is offered and during the first 56 days of becoming a cardholder, no interest is charged for purchases and balance transfers.  After the introductory period, the APR changes to 18.9%.

•    Vanquis Credit Card – For the student with less than perfect credit or one just now getting started in establishing new credit, this card is an excellent solution.  While the regular Annual Percentage Rate is high at 39.9%, the card does teach a student financial responsibility.

•    Student Barclaycard – Barclay Bank has a long reputation for being one of the best when it comes to credit cards.  For this student UK card, the interest rate is low at 14.9% and while the minimum credit limit is only £250, with proven payments being made on time and not missed, the limit would be increased over time.
